Jungkook, a member of the group BTS, won the 2023 Billboard Music Awards as a solo artist.
 

Jungkook, who won 12 awards for BTS, was named the first solo artist to win this year, signaling the beginning of a new era of global pop stars.

Jungkook won the Top Global K-Pop Song category with his solo single "Seven (feat. Latto)" at the 2023 Billboard Music Awards (BBMAs) held on Nov. 20 (Korea time).

Jungkook won the "BBMAs" as a Korean solo artist 10 years after Psy won the "Top Streaming Song Video" category in 2013.

Jungkook said in a video, "It's hard to express my gratitude in words. Thank you to ARMY and everyone who loved this song. Without you, we wouldn't have been able to win this tremendous award. While working on "Seven," he won this award because he hoped many people would enjoy the song
